Pete brings nearly 30 years of experience in the automation industry with the last 22 years as business owner of DAC. Pete manages the financial operations of the corporation and assists with guiding the Executives, Branch managers and Department managers of the company.
His diverse education in math, engineering and sciences ultimately lead to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from University of Alaska. Employed by the University of Alaska to program HVAC automation while in college, Pete was in the forefront of digital control technology. In 1988 as a programmer for Krueger Laboratory Products group he was responsible for start-up operations of digital laboratory control systems across the US. In 1991 Pete joined Integrated Digital Systems, Inc., a Building Automation company in Houston, as Engineering Manager. For 3 years he traveled to various national locations ensuring the completion of the automation systems in high rise office buildings. In 1993 he started Digital Air Control, Inc. (DAC, Inc.) in Houston and has diligently worked to grow a successful company. Pete has gained substantial business and automation knowledge and is considered a top industry resource for advising, evaluating and resolving building automation, energy management and control issues in all types of facilities and applications.
Pete is a lifetime member of ASHRAE, holds a Texas State Security license and a Master 100-ton Captain’s License. Pete is the owner of two incorporated companies, the majority partner in three Limited Partnerships as well as owner of various real estate holdings.
Sean brings over 20 years of experience delivering efficient solutions to the built environment. As the President of DAC, Sean is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Company’s operations, and leads the cross-functional business strategy for delivering growth and performance objectives, developing talent and maintaining standards of quality.
Holding a BBA from Sam Houston State University, Sean has spent the majority of his career working for global solutions providers. Joining Schneider Electric in 2008, he was most recently responsible for multi-business leadership in healthcare segment, including accountability for US segment strategies and plans, business unit performance, marketing and marketing communications, strategic account management, business development and alignment with global customer solutions. Prior to Schneider Electric, Sean spent 12 years with Siemens serving in various technical, engineering, project management, and business development capacities.
Sean is a Senior Designee of the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (SASHE), a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) by the Association of Energy Engineers, and a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) by the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers. He is a featured conference speaker for numerous organizations including the Children’s Hospital Association, Texas Association of Healthcare Facilities Management, Arkansas Association of Healthcare Engineering, Oklahoma Association of Healthcare Engineering and the IFMA Health Care Institute. He currently serves on the Board of the Texas Association of Healthcare Facilities Management and is a past-president for the Houston Area Association of Hospital Engineering. He continues to serve on a number of national taskforces and committees for the American Hospital Association and the American Society of Healthcare Engineering.
With over 30 years in financial practice, John brings a wide range of experience in finance, accounting and data systems development to DAC. Joining DAC in 2010, his background has been instrumental in establishing financial reporting systems and controls. He provides financial analysis, regular reporting for management and has played an integral role during a period of rapid company growth.
He graduated “magna cum laude” from the Business School at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor which is consistently ranked among the “top ten” nationally. He initially worked as a commercial loan analyst for a Michigan bank. With a great interest in communications and the media, John joined WJR Radio in Detroit as Business Manager where he was first exposed to computer systems design and implementation. His broadcast career spanned nearly twenty years with the same organization and included roles at television stations in both Chicago and Houston. He developed the first LAN based accounting system at an ABC owned station in Chicago. In Houston, he spearheaded a major expansion and renovation of the broadcast facilities at KTRK-TV. After the company was acquired by Disney, he left to pursue other career options in order to maintain residence in Houston.
John is active in his community and Church. He volunteers his time with those in need whether it be visiting senior citizens at Assisted Living facilities or mentoring younger adults for Special Olympics.
John resides in Missouri City with his wife. He is fortunate that all three children and seven grandchildren reside in the Greater Houston area.

We maintain long standing memberships and relationships with safety organizations such as PICS, PEC, Achilles, DISA, ISNetworld, Houston Area Safety Council, Safety Council of South Texas, Contractors Safety Council of Brazosport, Industrial Safety Training Council, and the Safety Council of the Texas Mid-Coast.
Today DAC’s services are used by well known companies such as Chevron, CBRE, Marathon Oil, Valero, Trammell Crow, Shell Oil, Hines, Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, Weatherford, Texas Health Resources, FEMA, Veteran’s Affairs as well as many other well-known organizations. Our Company employs an extensive well-trained staff to maintain system and client services.
Our Company has grown from humble beginnings. Digital Air Control, Inc. started in a neighborhood garage in downtown Houston in 1993 with three employees. Although there was considerable experience in building services and laboratory systems, the company itself was new and unknown. Perseverance, hard work, attention to quality and a little luck paid off and the company has continually grown since.
In 2015, Digital Air Control, Inc. rebranded as DAC, Inc. to reflect our growth and widening diversity of services. We currently provide systems and services from Latin America to Canada and New Mexico to New York.
DAC is licensed by a number of State and local agencies, buy boards and other certifying organizations. DAC is also affiliated with and actively participates in a number of industry organizations.
DAC is proud to be recognized by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) to provide technology leadership, solutions, and value to Texas state government, education, and local government entities to enable and facilitate the fulfillment of their core missions.
