Service Coordinator

Houston, TX

Principal Duties

  • Proactively plan, forecast, and dispatch service calls, contracted service, and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain the on-call schedule for service technicians
  • Maintain customer database with current client information
  • Provide clear and concise communications with department managers, employees and customers, including keeping customers appraised as to company schedule and requested lead times
  • Review/complete service work orders and prepare for billing department
  • Assists with managing of service contracts and organizes Service Technicians workflow to accommodate for contract needs.
  • Works closely with Service Managers and Service Technicians to provide administrative tracking support.
  • Communicates effectively with both the internal and external customer to guarantee prompt and responsive service for their immediate and long-term needs
  • Continually reviews current processes, services and make recommendations/proposals in order to improve and strengthen the Customer experience.
  • Works cohesively with Service Managers, Service Technicians, Account Managers and Business Development Managers to support and promote multiple business solutions for both short- and long-term growth opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Must have High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in service (repairs/maintenance) work, 3 years dispatcher experience
  • Ability to possess and apply strong organization skills to meet the customers service delivery requirements on time each and every day
  • Must have a high attention to detail and consistently follow-up on issues when required
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and be proficient in related company software products including Microsoft Office and Sage.
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be organized
  • Must be able to communicate effective both verbally and written
  • Geographical knowledge of service area or map reading skills
  • Basic knowledge of industry, including HVAC and Security
