Service Manager, HVAC

Principal Duties

  • Lead HVAC project development and customer-facing activities throughout Houston and surrounding area.  Meet with existing and new clients to review services and project delivery methodologies that the company offers.  Develop relationships with key facility owners and operators for opportunities to bid and negotiate HVAC projects.  Help develop, promote, sell and deliver a consistent HVAC offering for DAC.
  •  Maintain costs, schedule and quality of HVAC project execution on various related HVAC projects in the Houston area. Efficiently manage project budgets, proactively control project finances and communicate with internal and external customers regularly.
  •  Department development including recruiting, compensation, training, management, client relations, financial accountability, process deployment and development of a scalable/repeatable model for mechanical services operations.
  •  Proactively communicates project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with customer and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction. Maintains good customer relations, includes prompt response to customer requests and maintains frequent customer contact. Conducts annual customer satisfaction surveys to measure and track customer satisfaction levels.
  •  Responsible for maximizing safety and quality assurance on all assigned projects.
  •  In collaboration with Sales, ensures timely contract renewal process is in place. Cultivates and maintains existing accounts and actively pursues new service and system expansion opportunities with existing service base. Ensures renewals for expiring contracts for accounts without an assigned Service Account Manager.
  •  Effectively communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required and maintains accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.
  •  Supervises colleagues in a manner that maintains morale, skills proficiency and productivity.
  •  May perform limited range of managerial responsibilities including but not limited to mentoring, coaching and developing colleagues, planning, assigning and directing work and performance.
  •  Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships for resources provide redundancy and additional service offering to our clients. 
  •  Oversee all internally performed and subcontracted HVAC installation and service.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.


  • Minimum 5 years in a Service Management role, with a proven track record of year over year department growth.  Consideration will be given to candidates with strong project management and sales experience.

  • Advanced financial analytical skills including cost control (e.g. gross margin calculations)
  • Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills
  • Strong team building and facilitation skills
  • Developed project management experience in a technical environment (HVAC)
  • Established experience in administration, business or management
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
